Uncover the Secrets to Maximizing Lifespan: Seasonal Servicing for Electric Boats and Outboards

Updated: Oct 25, 2024

Very important! if you leave your Torqeedo motor in the water it needs to be serviced every 1 to 2 years. Failure to do that will cause permanent damage to your motor and will require high repair cost. Servicing your motor runs around $160.00 so your cost are low as long as you follow the manufacturer recommended service schedule.

If you take out your motor and store it is recommended every 4 to 5 years, but if you see any corrosion please bring in before the damage becomes a big deal.

Electric boats and outboards have revolutionized marine travel, offering an eco-friendly and efficient way to navigate the waters. Just like any other machinery, these electric propulsion systems require regular maintenance to ensure they remain in top-notch condition. Seasonal servicing is the key to unlocking the full potential and longevity of your electric boats and outboards, preserving their performance and lifespan for years to come.
